[The following soldiers served in B Co., 1st Battalion 6th Infantry, during 1970.  This list came
from the following source documents:  official America Division casualty list for 1970; list
provided by Dennis Linn (HQ, Americal Div., General Order 14553 dated 9 Nov 70);  from
Ray Tyndall an order for the Combat Infantryman Badge (CIB) (Special Orders
Number 282 Extract, Headquarters Americal Division, dated 9 October 1970); a CIB order,
belived to be for B Co. (Special Orders Number 328 Extract, Headquarters,  23rd Infantry
Division, dated 24 Nov 1970, announcing award of the CIB as of 13 Oct 70); a DF dated
25 Sep 70, from the 1st Bn 6th Inf Adjutant listing personnel in Chu Lai; and, a list
provided by Earl J. "Bud" Carlson (Unit Order No. 69, HQ 1st Bn 6th Inf,  9 Oct 70).

All these lists have been consolidated and placed in order by rank.  Most of those soldiers
whose MOS is listed as "unk" probably were 11B, although a few may have been 11C.
Rank shown is based on the source document; many of the soldiers were subsequently promoted.

In the absence of an official company roster, lists of soldiers on official orders for awards and
decorations are the best source of  information about who was in the unit.  Although every effort
has been made to ensure that this consolidated list does not contain errors, the source documents
